DODGY YAMAMOTO (SG)

Chief of Controlled Chaos & Head Hedonist of the extra-Spectaculaire, ex-secret service member of Japan’s Oniwaban intelligence agency has a darker side… Even the keenest of observers would never have guessed that YAMAMOTO, who often dabbles in nonsensical business & international espionage, would one day become a trailblazing, scene-driving, boogie-inducing, equator-circling dance music elite. A true purveyor of house music, DODGY YAMAMOTO’s profound passion for the lustful & filthy and his keen ear for all things deep, dark & dirty, dives into the transcendental depths of underground house.

DODGY YAMAMOTO on the controls means the deepest, filthiest house grooves: techy, tribal rhythms with electronic sub-plots, dashes of dub, hints of jazz & splashes of old-school and classics, all dished up to melt the dance floor. Over the years he has shared the stage with industry heavyweights: Massive Attack, Kruder & Dorfmister, Francois Kevorkian, Gilles Peterson, Tony Humpries, Soul II Soul, Martinez Brothers, Danny Teneglia and the list goes on.

His mixes are available here.
